About Us
The Personal Story
In late 2022, a few years after the COVID-19 pandemic, I received an email from an industry colleague working at a major Asia-based online travel agency. He told me he would be leaving his job to oversee marketing for an eSIM company.
We eventually hopped on a video call, and after congratulating him, the first thing I asked was:
“Do you really think eSIMs will replace SIM cards?”
His answer came almost immediately.
“Definitely.”
At the time, the idea of using an eSIM while traveling still felt unfamiliar to me, so I remember thinking he sounded overly optimistic.
I was wrong.
A few years later, after using eSIMs across multiple personal and business trips, it became clear that eSIMs were not just a temporary travel trend. They genuinely changed the way many of us stay connected abroad.
That experience eventually led to the creation of eSIMStash.
Just to be clear
I don’t work for any telecom company or eSIM provider, so please refrain from sending me requests for free eSIMS. 😊
I’m a regular traveler who also works in digital publishing and content creation. This mix is basically what pushed me to start using eSIMs and documenting things properly instead of just relying on random trial-and-error every trip. So when I talk about eSIMs here, it’s from actual use while traveling, not from a marketing brief.
Meet eSIMStash
eSIMStash is an independent travel eSIM blog focused on helping tourists find reliable and easy-to-use mobile data options while traveling abroad.
Even before starting this site, I’ve personally tested travel eSIMs across destinations including South Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Dominican Republic, and other countries using both iPhone and Android devices (mostly on my personal iPhone, because it’s always on hand)
Today, eSIMStash focuses on practical travel eSIM reviews, comparisons, and guides designed for real travelers — especially first-time eSIM users switching from physical SIM cards.
